Managing Coupons

The Coupons section allows you to create and manage promotional codes for your store. This guide explains how to access this section and configure all available options for creating a coupon.

Accessing the Coupons Section

Log in to your Vendor Dashboard.
Navigate to the Coupons tab in the menu.
Click Add New to create a new coupon.

Configuring Coupon Settings

When creating a coupon, you can customize its properties using the following fields:

1. General Information

Code: Enter the unique code that customers will use to redeem the coupon.
Description: Provide a short description of the coupon for reference.

2. Discount Settings

Discount Type:
- Percentage Discount: Offers a discount as a percentage of the total cart value.
- Fixed Product Discount: Applies a fixed amount discount to individual products.
Coupon Amount: Specify the value of the discount (e.g., 10 for 10% or $10).
Coupon Expiry Date: Set the date when the coupon will no longer be valid.
Allow Free Shipping: Check this box if the coupon includes free shipping.
Show on Store: Decide whether to display this coupon on your store page.

3. Usage Restrictions

These settings define the conditions under which the coupon can be applied:

Minimum Spend: Set the minimum purchase amount required to use the coupon.
Maximum Spend: Specify the maximum cart total for which the coupon is valid.
Individual Use Only: Check this box to prevent the coupon from being combined with other coupons.
Exclude Sale Items: Check this box to restrict the coupon from being applied to discounted items.
Products: Select specific products eligible for the coupon.
Exclude Products: Select products that are excluded from the coupon.
Product Categories: Choose categories of products eligible for the coupon.
Exclude Categories: Select categories excluded from the coupon.
Email Restrictions: Limit coupon use to specific email addresses (enter one email per line).

4. Usage Limits

Set limits to control how the coupon can be used:

Usage Limit Per Coupon: Define the total number of times this coupon can be redeemed.
Limit Usage for X Items: Restrict the coupon to apply only to a specified number of items in the cart.
Usage Limit Per User: Limit the number of times a single customer can use this coupon.

Saving and Managing Coupons

Once you’ve configured all the settings, click Submit to activate the coupon.
To edit an existing coupon, locate it in the Coupons list, click on its name, and make the necessary changes.
To deactivate or delete a coupon, use the options available in the Coupons list.

Tips for Effective Coupon Usage

Use clear and memorable codes for easy redemption.
Set realistic usage limits to avoid over-discounting.
Test coupons before sharing them with customers.
