Messages Section

Please note the difference between Messages and Inquiries:

  • Inquiries refer to questions submitted via the “Ask the Question” form. Notifications for these appear in the top panel of your dashboard.
  • Messages, on the other hand, are Private Messages.

Key Points about the Messages Section:

  1. How Buyers Can Contact You:
    • Buyers or potential buyers can contact you either via Inquiries or through Private Messages (Messages).
    • The Messages section is for direct communication via Private Messages. Only registered and logged-in users can send you messages.
  2. Notifications for New Messages:
    • If you are inactive on the site for more than 5 minutes and receive a message, you will get an email notification with the message content.
    • The email will also include a link to the message page, allowing you to reply directly to the message.
    • If you are online, a pop-up notification will appear, informing you of the new message.
  3. Regularly Check the Messages Section:
    • Always check the Messages section each time you log in to your seller dashboard.
    • If there are unread messages, a white number on a blue circle will be displayed next to the word “Messages” in your dashboard menu. This number indicates the total count of unread messages.
  4. Attachments in Messages:
    • The Messages section allows attachments, unlike the Inquiries form, which supports only text.
    • Attachment Guidelines:
      • Maximum file size: 5 MB per file
      • Maximum number of attachments per message: 4
      • Allowed formats: jpg, jpeg, png, pdf

By staying responsive and checking your Messages regularly, you can ensure better communication with your buyers and provide timely assistance.
