Managing Products

The Products section provides access to the complete list of products created by the seller. Below is a detailed overview of the features available on the product management page and the individual functions associated with each product.


General Page Features

  1. Search Product
    • Use the search bar at the top to quickly locate a product by its name or relevant keywords.
  2. Bulk Edit
    • Modify multiple products simultaneously by selecting them and applying actions such as updating prices, stock, categories, or visibility settings.
  3. Filter by Category
    • Narrow down the product list by selecting specific categories, helping you manage products in a more organized way.
  4. Filter by Product Type
    • Focus on particular product types (e.g., physical, digital, downloadable) for efficient sorting and editing.

Individual Product Functions

Each product has seven action icons located next to it:

  1. 🔗 Quick Edit
    • Quickly update key details like product title, price, stock, and visibility without leaving the main product list.
  2. 👁 View
    • Preview how the product appears to customers on the storefront.
  3. ⭐ Mark as Featured
    • Highlight the product as “Featured” to increase its visibility and prominence on your site.
  4. 📄 Duplicate
    • Create a copy of the product, useful for quickly adding similar items to your catalog.
  5. 🖉 Edit
    • Access the full product editor to make detailed changes, including descriptions, images, pricing, and more.
  6. 📦 Archive Product
    • Temporarily hide the product from customers while keeping it in your catalog for potential future use.
  7. 🗑 Delete
    • Permanently remove the product from your store.

Important Notes on Deleting Products

  • Irreversible Action:
    Once you delete a product, you cannot restore it through your dashboard. If a product was deleted by mistake, contact the site admin immediately.
    • Admins can recover deleted products from the trash folder only if it hasn’t been cleared by the system.
  • System Cleanup:
    Regular server maintenance permanently deletes items from the trash folder. To avoid accidental losses, we recommend archiving products instead of deleting them.
  • Impact on Reviews:
    If you delete a product, customer reviews will remain visible on your page but will no longer link to the deleted product.

Special Warning for Digital Downloadable Products

We strongly advise against deleting downloadable products that have been purchased, as it can lead to customer dissatisfaction and negative reviews:

  • Purchased files are stored in customer accounts indefinitely, allowing unlimited downloads.
  • If you delete a product, it will remain accessible to customers until the server permanently clears it. Once cleared, customers will lose access, which can cause issues for your store.

Recommendations:

  • Delete only draft products, unused duplicates, or items that have never been purchased.
  • Always archive instead of deleting to maintain access for customers.
