Stock Manager: Managing Inventory in the Products Section
The Stock Manager is a convenient tool located in the Products section, next to the Add New button. It is represented by a database icon. Clicking on this icon opens a list of all published products in your store, allowing you to efficiently manage inventory.
Features of the Stock Manager
- Change Product Status
- Update the availability of a product by switching its status between:
- In Stock: The product is available for purchase.
- Out of Stock: The product is unavailable for customers.
- Update the availability of a product by switching its status between:
- Allow or Disallow Backorders
- Choose how to handle orders for out-of-stock products:
- Do Not Allow: Customers cannot place orders for products that are out of stock.
- Allow but Notify Customer: Customers can order the product, but they will be informed that it is currently out of stock and may take longer to deliver.
- Allow: Customers can order the product without any notification about its stock status.
- Choose how to handle orders for out-of-stock products:
- Adjust Stock Quantity
- Specify the exact number of units available for each product. This ensures accurate stock tracking and helps avoid overselling.
