Uploading Downloadable Files for Digital Products
In the Downloadable Files section, you will upload the file that your customers can download after purchasing your digital product (e.g., a PDF pattern or guide).
Uploading Your File:
- File URL:
- Click the Upload button to add your PDF or digital file. You can either:
- Select the file directly from your Media Library, or
- Upload the file from your computer to the Media Library.

- File Size Limit:
- The maximum allowed file size for uploading to the Media Library is 20 MB.
- If your file is smaller than 20 MB, upload it to the Media Library and select it.
- For Files Larger Than 20 MB:
- Use a cloud storage service to host your file. Popular options include:
- Google Drive: Upload your file and generate a shareable link.
- Dropbox: Use Dropbox to upload your file and create a public link.
- Amazon S3: Upload the file to your Amazon S3 bucket and retrieve its URL.
- Paste the URL of the uploaded file into the Upload field.
- Use a cloud storage service to host your file. Popular options include:
Important Notes for Cloud Storage:
- Security: The cloud storage URL you provide will not be visible to the customer. After purchasing, customers will only see a secure download button on their order page to initiate the file download.
- Accessibility: Ensure the file’s cloud storage settings allow public access via the link.
Additional Tips for Vendors:
- Product Description: Clearly state in the product description that this is a digital download to avoid confusion.
- Customer Experience: Mention the file format and size in the description to help customers prepare for the download process (e.g., “This is a PDF file, 25 MB”).
- Cloud Storage: Using trusted platforms like Google Drive, Dropbox, or Amazon S3 ensures the smooth delivery of large files.
