Product Import: A Convenient Way to Add Products in Bulk

The Product Import feature, represented by the upward arrow button in the Products section, allows you to efficiently upload multiple products at once using a CSV file. This saves time and effort compared to adding each product individually.

Why Use CSV Import?

Uploading a CSV file is especially useful if you have an extensive product catalog on another platform or want to streamline your product management process. By importing a file, you can transfer key product details like titles, descriptions, prices, and stock information in just a few steps.

Important Note

While CSV import is a powerful tool, it’s not perfect. Platforms often have different field structures, so some product details may not align perfectly. After importing, it’s essential to review each product manually to ensure all fields—such as categories, tags, or images—are correctly mapped and formatted.

Steps for Importing Products

  1. Upload CSV File
    • Click on the Products Import button (upward arrow).
    • Choose the CSV file from your computer that contains your product data.
    • Ensure the file is properly formatted with headers matching common product attributes (e.g., Title, Price, SKU, Stock).
  2. Column Mapping
    • After uploading, you’ll be prompted to map the columns in your CSV file to the platform’s product fields.
    • Carefully match the fields to ensure the correct information is placed in the right sections (e.g., map “Product Name” to “Title”).
    • If any fields don’t have a match, they can be skipped or adjusted manually later.
  3. Import
    • Once mapping is complete, click Import to start the process.
    • The system will process your file and create product entries based on the data provided.
  4. Done
    • After the import is finished, a confirmation message will appear.
    • Go through your product list to verify and adjust any details as needed.

Using the Product Import feature helps you quickly populate your product database, but a little manual adjustment ensures your catalog is polished and ready for customers.
