How to Change Your Bank Account Details in Stripe
If you need to update your bank account details or add a new bank account in another currency, follow these steps.
1. How to Change Your Existing Bank Account
If you want to replace your current bank account with a new one:
Steps to Update Bank Details:
- Log into your Stripe account at https://dashboard.stripe.com.
- In the left menu, click “Settings” (⚙️ gear icon).
- Under “Business settings”, click “Bank accounts and scheduling”.
- Find your current bank account listed under Payout details.
- Click “Edit” or “Replace”.
- Enter the new bank account details (IBAN, routing number, account number, etc.).
- Click “Save”.
✅ Important Notes:
- Updating your bank account will not affect past payouts, only future ones.
- The new bank account must be in the same country as your Stripe account.
- Stripe might take 24–48 hours to verify the new account before payouts can be processed.
2. How to Add a Bank Account in Another Currency
Stripe allows you to add multiple bank accounts in different currencies, so payouts can be made in your preferred currency.
Steps to Add a New Bank Account in a Different Currency:
- Go to Stripe Dashboard.
- Click “Settings” → “Bank accounts and scheduling”.
- Click “Add a new bank account”.
- Select the currency you want to receive payouts in.
- Enter your new bank account details.
- Click “Save”.
✅ Important Notes:
- Each currency must have a separate bank account (e.g., USD payouts go to a USD account, EUR payouts go to a EUR account).
- If Stripe supports multiple currencies in your country, payouts will be automatically sent to the correct bank account based on the currency of the transaction.
- Stripe may ask for additional verification when adding a new bank.
Now your payouts are fully optimized, and you can receive payments in multiple currencies!
