How to Change Your Bank Account Details in Stripe

If you need to update your bank account details or add a new bank account in another currency, follow these steps.

1. How to Change Your Existing Bank Account

If you want to replace your current bank account with a new one:

Steps to Update Bank Details:

  1. Log into your Stripe account at https://dashboard.stripe.com.
  2. In the left menu, click “Settings” (⚙️ gear icon).
  3. Under “Business settings”, click “Bank accounts and scheduling”.
  4. Find your current bank account listed under Payout details.
  5. Click “Edit” or “Replace”.
  6. Enter the new bank account details (IBAN, routing number, account number, etc.).
  7. Click “Save”.

Important Notes:

  • Updating your bank account will not affect past payouts, only future ones.
  • The new bank account must be in the same country as your Stripe account.
  • Stripe might take 24–48 hours to verify the new account before payouts can be processed.

2. How to Add a Bank Account in Another Currency

Stripe allows you to add multiple bank accounts in different currencies, so payouts can be made in your preferred currency.

Steps to Add a New Bank Account in a Different Currency:

  1. Go to Stripe Dashboard.
  2. Click “Settings” → “Bank accounts and scheduling”.
  3. Click “Add a new bank account”.
  4. Select the currency you want to receive payouts in.
  5. Enter your new bank account details.
  6. Click “Save”.

Important Notes:

  • Each currency must have a separate bank account (e.g., USD payouts go to a USD account, EUR payouts go to a EUR account).
  • If Stripe supports multiple currencies in your country, payouts will be automatically sent to the correct bank account based on the currency of the transaction.
  • Stripe may ask for additional verification when adding a new bank.

Now your payouts are fully optimized, and you can receive payments in multiple currencies!
