How to Verify Your Stripe Account

Verifying your Stripe account ensures that it complies with Stripe’s security standards and allows you to access all the features and services available. Depending on your region, Stripe may ask for additional information to complete the verification process.

Steps to Verify Your Stripe Account:

  1. Log in to your Stripe account:
Visit https://dashboard.stripe.com and log in using your credentials.
  2. Navigate to the “Settings”:
In the left sidebar, click on the Settings (⚙️ gear icon).
  3. Find the “Identity Verification” section:
In the Account settings, scroll down to find the Identity Verification section or navigate to the “Identity and verification” section.
  4. Review Verification Requirements:
Stripe will display a list of documents required to verify your account. These can include:
    • A valid ID (e.g., passport, driver’s license)
    • Proof of business registration (if applicable)
    • Bank account details for payouts
    • Tax information (e.g., tax ID, if required in your region)
  5. Submit Required Documents:
Upload the requested documents in the designated fields. Make sure the documents are clear and valid (check expiry dates, legibility, etc.).
  6. Complete the Verification Process:
After submitting the required documents, Stripe will review them. This can take anywhere from a few hours to a couple of days. You will receive a notification once your account has been verified.
